Certification Maintenance is required of Certified Detailers at all levels as a part of certification and skill upkeep.
Certification Maintenance is due every two years. It requires 8 credit hours of continuing education and then the submission of the maintenance fee.
If you have a specialty certification, 2 out of the 8 continuing education credits must be related to that specialty area.
When it is time to renew your certification, you will begin to receive email reminders (and text reminders if you have signed up for texting). You can also locate your certification expiration date printed on your Certified Detailer certificate and in your profile under the 'About' tab.
Submit your 8 credit hours in your online certification journal. There is a tutorial video about entering credit here.
Then, submit your certification maintenance fee. If you submit the fee within two months of your expiration date, the regular rate will apply ($100 for members) and $150 for non-members). However, if you submit more than two months past your expiration date (and outside of the grace period), the late fee will apply ($200 for members and $400 for non-members).
